Bike Riding Trails
If you are looking to escape for a little while, there is a well worn bike path that goes for miles! It is a former train track bed and it is an easy trail to follow. Bring you bike!
Labyrinth Building
Labyrinths provide a unique and engaging framework for personal meditation. It may also be regarded as a piece of human art that draws us closer to spirit. At R2R, we’ll put our hearts into creating a walking labyrinth that can be used throughout the weekend and beyond for meditation. We are asking all attendees to bring rocks with them, or something to add to the shrine, which will be in the center of the labyrinth. By bringing rocks that you’ve found, this labyrinth will have an incredible amount of energy.
Building a Cob Oven
Do you like pizza? Fresh raisin bread? Well what about mud? If you said yes to any of those, and I hope you did (unless you’re gluten intolerant of something), then you should enjoy this workshop! We will be working with cob, which is a mixture of clay, sand, straw, and water, and making a cob oven. People have been using earth as a building materials for centuries, from adobe out west to traditional cob in England, and we will be creating our very own piece of history here at R2R. Expect to get dirty. A large part of cob building is mixing the ingredients aka “the cob dance party”.
We’ll talk about geology, art, sustainability, cooking, and even building science (don’t let that freak you out though). After the oven is completed we’ll have our very own working oven to make pizza, bread, s’mores (if they don’t combust), and whatever you can think of for the rest of the week! Feel free to stop in and out throughout the project. We need all kinds of skills and interests. The more hands we have, the better!
Daily Jams
When you aren’t busy working with all our amazing instructors, you’ll want some to take advantage of our jam area. We’ll have a hoop jam space designated with great music and inspiring ambiance to get you moving.
Chill Space
Enjoy your downtime in style! There will be areas decorated to suit any mood. Meet up with your friends or make new ones in one of the R2R chill spaces. For an idea of what we’re talking about click here.
