Raising consciousness through community participation

Return to Roots returns for another year bringing together the hoop dance and flow art community. Founded in 2011 by Meagan Ruppert, Return to Roots invites participants to gather in an organized community, formed by forward thinkers who endeavor to raise consciousness through hooping, art, yoga and a multitude of creative expressions. More than 40 workshops throughout the weekend led by more than 20 world-class instructors, this event is raising the bar for the average festival promoter.

Five-day Yoga-Music pass starts at $155, day passes available for $75. Hoop-Yoga-Music tickets start at $365 for weekend pass, $160 for day pass. All tickets include 3 organic meals each day, workshops, all musical performances, marketplace, camping and more. Saturday night, music-only tickets are available for $30- no meals or workshops included.

Musical performances by Jimkata, The Manhattan Project, Sonni Shine & The Underwater Sounds, Small Change, DJ FM, and One.man.And. Instructors include: Shakti Sunfire, (2012 Hoop Tutorial of the of Year), Anah Reichenbach aka Hoopalicous (2009 Hoop Tutorial of the Year, 2010 Instructor of the Year), Jonathan Baxter (2010 Hoop Instructor of the Year, 2012 Male Hooper of the Year), Brecken Rivara (2011 Female Hooper of the Year), Bex Burton, Kelly Curtis, Sarah Bowman and many more.

Transportation is available from Manhattan to Bloomsburg on The Green Bus, a vegetable oil-powered shuttle. Leaving Penn Station at noon on Thursday, August 2nd and arriving back at Penn Station on Monday at approximately 2pm. For more information visit www.r2rhoops.com/green-bus-from-ny/
